EXCITING NEWS

Next start March 2012 - with The Isle of Avalon Foundation.

It is necessary to have completed a full Shamanic Journey weekend before taking the Shamanic Practitioner Training.

The Shamanic Practitioner Training course starts with a 6 day intensive, 2 days non-residential and 4 days residential - followed by 2 more non-residential weekend meetings, then another 2 day residential in February 2013

The non-residential weekends are in Glastonbury and the residential parts are at EarthSpirit Centre near Glastonbury

When you have completed this course you will be given a Student Practitioner Certificate, and after you have completed the necessary case-studies and worked under supervision for 6 months you will be awarded a Shamanic Practitioners certificate.

After you have completed all the Shamanic Practitioner Training weekends you are eligible to join the Blue Canoe Sacred Circle initiated in the year of 2000. It is open for all who have completed the Practitioner Training. We meet for a day every three months in Glastonbury for sharing and updating our knowledge, looking after ourselves and doing a ceremony for world healing.

When you have completed all your training including case studies and have become a qualified Shamanic Practitioner you will be offered a place on our Register of Shamanic Practitioners

Warrior in the Heart Foundation now have our own Block Insurance Scheme at Balens, this can be used for your Shamanic work and any other complementary therapies providing that you have a certificate of competence.

There is that old legend of the Indian woman who over her life weaves her wonderful blanket but will leave a flaw in it to let the soul free.   Howard and Elsa taking our meagre shamanic abilities with powerful intent you have produced a beautiful tapestry where our flaws have been shown as important parts of our whole without which our spirits cannot fly free.  Horace the Greek philosopher best summed up the conundrum which exists in this world where people will hasten to remove anything which hurts their eye but postpone the cure for many years if it is something which affects their soul.  What you have shown us is that maybe our group can join with the community, the shamanic movement you have created, a start to reset the balance.

Now comes the hard part.  I’ve never understood where the good is in goodbye.  But, I have learnt not to be too dismayed.  A farewell is necessary before you can meet again.  And meeting again after moments or a lifetime is certain for those that are friends.  That there is a close bond between our group is unquestionable and like the latitudes and longitudes that describe our earth friends can be far away but with a little thought you can always find them.  I hope we can all remain in touch and continue to assist and support each other in our journeys ahead.  As a good sailor I can tell you the world is round and the place that appears to be an end is also the beginning.  We are all impatient for this new start.  Thank you again for giving us a wonderful new course to steer.
